Physical Therapy and Nutritional Medicine Services
Often the "traditional" approach to our health today is limited to the newest drug or to the latest "state-of-the art" surgery. Many invasive and aggressive procedures are recommended or strongly encouraged without educating the patient as to less drastic options or alternatives. Physical Therapy and Nutritional Medicice are viable alternatives and options to address many of today's illnesses, drug therapies, pain and physical dysfunctions.

'Traditional' Physical Therapy
Traditional physical therapy, considered through the years to be the foundation for the restoration of functional movement in and by the body. Functional movement concerns itself with balance, coordination, gait, strength, range-of-motion, etc. Utilizing impairment specific approaches (exercise, ice, heat, electro-therapeutic interventions, etc.) the restoration of movement and function is improved only to the extent that the patient's internal structure will allow. Our internal structures significantly determine and influence the functioning of our bodies!

'Advanced' Rehabilitative Therapies®
'Advanced Rehabilitative Therapies (ART)® address the causal relationship between your internal structure, your symptoms and your declining function and quality of life. A whole person approach is implemented to discover and treat the cause of your symptoms. So much of our "histories" contribute to our current biological conditions.  ART® specializes in gentle, integrative (total body), manual (hands-on) therapy techniques (IMT)™, many of which have origins in osteopathy and date back over 100 years. IMT™ addresses and treats the body's musculoskeletal, autonomic and neurological systems. The primary difference between traditional (functional) physical therapy and advanced rehabilitative therapies (ART)® is the precise combination of treatment procedures (IMT)™ that have been developed to treat many if not all of the body's components. Our bodies are made up of much more than bone, muscles, joints and ligaments. Within and around these major components are the delicate networks of the circulatory system (vascular and lymphatic), neurological tissue and circuitry, as well as internal organs. Traumas, injuries or illnesses with any of the major components   can affect the function and condition of the surrounding delicate networks, resulting in the direct impact upon our functional movement. Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT)™ includes:
  • Craniosacral Therapy
  • Postural & Structural Realignment
  • Deep Tissue & Myofascial Release
  • Lymphatic Drainage
  • Visceral Mobilization
    And so much more...
