The Pelvic Bowl...is comprised of the hip bones (illiums), the sacrum and the tailbone (coccyx). The organs (viscera) within the pelvic bowl include the uterus, prostate, bladder, small and large intestine, colon/rectum, lower extremity lymph and circulatory systems.

The viscera are suspended due to pressurization between the pelvic and the abdominal diaphragms. Healthy and efficient functioning of these systems is dependent upon many things, the least of which is the equalized pressure within this structure. There must be adequate room within the bowl for the maximum functioning of the viscera.

The balance of the sacrum is critical to the homeostasis of the pelvic bowl. Disruption in the structural alignment and balance of the sacrum, creates uneven and destructive pressures within the pelvic bowl, manifesting symptoms such as:urinary incontinence, urgency, frequency or inability to void completely, constipation or discomfort with elimination, Crohn's Disease, Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS), poor or impaired digestion, bloating, impaired circulation or swelling of the lower extremities, inefficient toxin breakdown (liver and renal dysfunction) and pain/discomfort with sexual intimacy.

TREATMENT APPROACHES FOR PELVIC PAIN:
  • Lumbosacral spinal alignment
  • Visceral mobilization
  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Craniosacral therapy

...suffering intestinal distress since my teens... my quality of life was often greatly diminished.  Thanks to Power In Motion's... understanding of the needs of my condition and through teaching my wife at-home techniques to perform that would maintain improvements... they have helped me to live a more normal life. I am grateful...
